U2 360 Tour Circles Europe

The wait is over for U2 fans in Europe, as the 2010 leg of the U2 360 Tour kicks off in Turin, Italy tonight! For the next two months, the band will travel around Europe for 22 shows, bookending the European leg with another stop in Italy, at Rome's Olympic Stadium on October 8th.

EFFECT continues to lower the tour's environmental impact by working with venues to implement front-of-house and back-of-house recycling programs, as well as carpool, public transportation, and offset options that allow each fan to be more sustainable while traveling to the show. In addition to these actions, EFFECT asks each venue to take their greening further with additional sustainability initiatives, such as choosing to recycle, compost, or donate sod after each show, offering concession vendors compost bins, and installing water-saving appliances such as faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads in restrooms and dressing rooms.

U2 will be back to the States for 16 shows in the spring, starting at Denver's Infesco Field on May 21, 2011. Whether you're in Europe or the States, be sure to check out U2's 2010/2011 tour schedule to see if they will be stopping by your town!
