President Obama is asking all Americans to serve their country this summer as part of the United We Serve campaign. The United We Serve campaign is one of the key on-going initiatives from the White House designed to activate individuals, build communities, and move the nation forward.

EFFECT has been asked by the White House to lead the music industry’s involvement and activation around Serve.gov.

www.serve.gov provides opportunity for citizens to easily get involved in their individual communities nationwide.

President Obama is asking all musicians, fan clubs, industry organizations and festivals to do the following:

1. Place the United We Serve widget/banner on the band website and/or the link to www.serve.gov
2. Send an email to your fan base encouraging them to get involved by going to www.serve.gov
3. Include United We Serve on your social media pages
4. Allow a United We Serve volunteer to table at your concerts
5. Mention United We Serve from the stage
6. Encourage participation in United We Serve by everyone in your organization
7. Provide ticket contests or music tracks to fans who volunteer
8. Pass this message on to all of your friends in the business
